Max is making a bold move to boost its fourth-quarter numbers and stand out in the competitive streaming market by offering a special Black Friday sale. Starting Monday, Max will be slashing its ad-supported plan prices by a whopping 70 percent, making it just $2.99 per month for a duration of six months. This exclusive offer is available to new and returning subscribers, allowing them to enjoy their favorite shows and movies at a significantly reduced cost. The regular premium plan without ads will remain at its usual price of $15.99. This limited-time sale will run until Monday, November 27th.

Max is excited to showcase its lineup of captivating content, including highly anticipated shows like True Detective: Night Country, starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, which is scheduled to begin on January 14th. Additionally, recent hits like Succession, House of the Dragon, and The Last of Us have garnered much acclaim and are available for streaming. Max is also thrilled to announce the upcoming arrival of the popular summer sensation Barbie to their service.

In 2024, Max will see the return of beloved shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm in February, House of the Dragon in the summer, as well as My Brilliant Friend Industry, We’re Here, Hacks, Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, Tokyo Vice, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and Sort Of.

This move comes after a slight decline in total subscriber numbers during the third quarter for Warner Bros. Discovery, which Max is a part of. CEO David Zaslav has expressed his determination to reduce churn, or subscriber turnover, by introducing more sports and news offerings on Max. He recognizes that churn is a significant challenge and is committed to addressing it through various strategies.

With the Black Friday sale and a focus on providing compelling content, Max aims to entice new subscribers and retain existing ones, creating a highly engaging and enjoyable streaming experience for all.
